COMPETITION INFO


START FEE & REGISTRATIONS

  • Fill out the registration form: REGISTRATION
  • Only one registration for each solo/duo/group. 
  • Last day of registration is 12th of April. 
  • Every dancer needs to pay the correct start fee: START FEE TICKET (deadline 12th of April)
  • You can choose the start fee for 1, 2 or 3-4 categories.
  • The start fee tickets will be changed to wristbands at the competition hall. 
  • Dancers will be able to enter the hall during the whole competition.
  • Each dance studio/dance school will get 1 free coach pass (entry ticket for coach/trainer) for the competition. 


DISCO CUP RULES

Tempo & Music

  • All categories have organizer's music

  • Rising Star 136bpm

  • Pre-Champion 140bpm

  • Champion 140bpm

Duration of performance (all levels and in all rounds)

  • Solo: First presentation 30 seconds, then 1 minute in smaller heats (in the final 1 solo), last presentation 1 minute.

  • Duo: First presentation 30 seconds, then 1 minute in smaller heats (in the final 1 duo), last presentation 1 minute.

  • Groups: 1:30 minutes (90 seconds)

Forbidden movements

  • Jump overs are allowed only in Champion duos and groups but not in the first and last presentation of duos.
  • Lifts and acrobatic movements are not allowed.

Costumes

  • Pre-Champion & Champion: costumes can have decorations
  • Rising Star: only plainwear and no decorations (rhinestones, glitter, fringes etc.)

  • Organizer's music: ballad / acoustic ballad
  • In all selection rounds and semifinals the dancers will dance for 1 minute around the floor. 
  • In the final all dancers will dance 2 times: 45 sec (spot) 1 dancer on the floor, 1min (last presentation) all finalists around the floor. 
  • In the final spot (1 dancer on the floor) acrobatic movements are allowed, but only acrobatics in which a body part is touching the floor. In all other rounds acrobatic movements are not allowed. 
  • Costume: ALL BLACK, no rhinestones or glitter, but lace and fringes are allowed. 


AGE GROUPS

Children = 12 and under (born in 2012 and after)

Junior 1 = 13-14 (born in 2010-2011)

Junior 2 = 15-16 (born in 2008-2009)

Adult 1A = 17-20 (born in 2004-2007)

Adult 1B = 21 and over (born 2003 and before)
